Hi all, we had a cabin fire in our 2005 400SS. After all the insurance stuff I am selling this as a project boat. It has the latest 370 VP/DPH-D engine drive package. It was repowered in 2008. Everything was in great shape as we were getting ready to do another Bahamas trip. The repower has mid 400Hrs. The cabin was a fast fire that started in the bow. Possibly a relay for the windlass/thruster. I'm sure the boat starts and runs. The cabin vinyl caught and scalded the cabinets. They are veneer so I would think that could be peeled off and replaced. It would be a project with decent bones. A surveyor for the insurance co reported the hull and deck were sound. The 1st pic is the day before the fire at the reef. Asking $105K. The market before the fire with the latest 370 power was around $260K. Thanks

Hi all. Yes its totaled. I retained ownership and am moving it back to California. When it gets here I will begin parting it out. The engine packages,2018 370E with DPH_D drives will sell as a complete package. The rest from the anchor to the swimstep will be available. anything you may need e mail me at [email protected]

The surveyor found a circuit breaker burnt but not tripped in the 12v stuff where the anchor windlass/thruster control box is. The mystery is I had about 30' of anchor chain laying on the bottom of the marina as I was trying to find a clicking noise earlier in the morning. The anchor, when I was not aboard, retracted itself back up and stowed.....Hmmm

I actually bought a 2007 310 SS that had a cabin fire. It was more severely damaged than yours but your cabin is way bigger. It's a bunch of work. You can re-skin the doors and such with 3M Di-noc and source a bunch of the soft goods from Great Lakes Skipper. In mine the wiring for the circuit panel was on the ceiling and melted everything together. Anything electrical that the smoke touched will need to be replaced as the smoke is super corrosive and things will quit working. IIRC hatch trim bezels were impossible to get. Everything else is doable. I have a birth defect where I won't shy away from a big project. I'm currently looking for a 370SS or 40SS but I don't think I could do that job again.

fossil fuel Can you PM me regarding your boat when you have a moment? I'm unable to send you a message since I have fewer than 10 posts. :/
