Default Boat search site like Autotempest for boats feedback

Hey everyone,
I have a boat search site that I started with a friend who is a student and he's learning to code. Our inspiration was Autotempest, an automotive listing aggregator which allows you to browse listings from the top listing sites.

At the moment, we've been able to scrape from 12 boat listing sites, which means there's about 250,000+ listings for you to browse.

I would love some feedback on what you like, what you hate, what needs work, etc...

As our coding skills improve, hopefully so will the site. At the moment, its fairly basic (not to many search parameters) but it seems to work pretty well. Plus, there is a boat valuation tool.

Thanks, Jared

I don't like the fact that when I click on my listing it goes to Thomas Kramme from Boats International not Joe DeFusco at Pier One Yacht Sales..............More like all our listings....lazy man's brokerage

Seems to work good. Not sure if its possible but there are makes listed that are not boats like "Chevrolet Corvette" or "Can-Am Defender" "GMC Sierra"
Im sure its populating the list from the scraping of the other sites.....

I just tried, need a place to pick new or used or both.

Another thing I see it doing, it is picking up the same listing multiple times. That is taking a LOT of page space up.

Cool idea! As already mentioned, it's picking up duplicates that are listed on multiple scraped sites. I've definitely thought there's opportunity to bring something better to the market versus what's already out there. I'm working on a boat related website too - not related. Good luck with the project!

Why not just go to BoatTrader? Why do we need another site?

Because it only has a small number of listings, this allows you to search many sites at once, including boattrader.
