Very Cool and beautiful restoration , great story Matt.

What ever happened to the old Michelob Light boat ?

Charlie has the old Benihana and a 32 hull to replicate the original Cigarette wondering if anything will ever become of them.

That’s crazy to basically build a museum
piece and then take it out racing! lol reminds me of the Monterey classic races where guys are running their million dollar basically irreplaceable old school sports cars.

Update Tommy......Both the Benihana and the 32 Cary have been moved on to new owners. I have not heard any more on their restorations.

I have kind of given up on the HORBA museum and am looking to move some of this stuff.

I still have all the original George Bartell paintings from John Crouse's book SEARACE, that were used for each chapter in the book.

I thought that maybe someone would like them for thier man cave, boat house, office etc etc. Paintings, full staggered engine setup for twin engine old school race boat from engines to props.

I will be in Florida for OFF this year of anyone has interest.

I understand, time passes, age catches up and interests change. There just isn’t the interest in Historical Offshore that there was 15 years ago much less in current offshore.

Would be cool to see those 2 boats back in their former glory in the right capable and caring hands.

Anyone heard from Brownie lately, haven’t seen him on the site in years, hope he is doing well down in the Keys.
