Default Anyone ever hear of Marine Torq exhaust manifolds?

A buddy of mine is in the market for new 8.1 Manifolds and found these. One piece design for $2300 a set delivered to his door with all bolts ect. 10 year warranty and is cheaper that a manifold elbow setup.

Heard of them and seen them advertised. No personal experience. Seem to recall someone on here having an issue with them some number of years ago, but dont recall the circumstances.

They look like the old OMC Batwing's that were really bad for hydrolocking.

I would like to see what is inside of them. Any pics or info on how they are manufactured?

Helmwurst,

If I had to guess, I'd say they are essentially standard, single-wall headers with a water box built around them.

Thanks. Brad.

Just went back and did a little search on here. My memory was correct, and might be a benefit to do some reading? QC seems hit and miss.

Default Marine Torq

We (Renovated Marine Performance) have installed and sold many pairs of these manifolds. Great fit and easy install. Replaceable anodes and anti-reversion cones. 100% stainless steel.
Someone asked about construction- basically they start with a heavy stainless flange to the head, build header tubes to a collector then wrap in a stainless envelope.
If interested, email me at [email protected]
additional note: Renovated Marine Performance offers titanium plated marine torq manifolds. Customers love them as they “blend into” engine compartments without the standard polished stainless steel.

Sandslot,

So, they're actually "headers", as far as the engine sees them, correct?

Thanks. Brad.

Yes, they are essentially headers wrapped in a stainless-steel

envelope.

The original company that created these manifolds was HiTek and there were some QC issues with them. However, Marine Torq bought them out years ago and have resolved all issues. As a national dealer, we can attest to Marine Torq's willingness to address issues (special custom manifolds, etc.) and will work to be certain the end product is bullet proof.
