Anybody up for a project boat? Out of curiosity, if a boat like this totally sunk would the hull itself be damaged? If buyer takes on the project and replaces everything on the boat, I would think that the history would put a huge dent in value. Nonetheless it would take a pretty good bankroll to put it back together right.

Quad V12 Mercs will be a hefty starting point.300K right there. Figure another 100K in electronics/rigging so you are at 400K and haven't addressed anything in the cabin yet.
Says it got pinned under a dock and when the tide rose the boat sank. Motors are pickled but not sure if that will save them with all the electronics on them. Insurance company wants to cut their losses and not be tied to the boat forever with gremlins.

Every case is different but my cousin’s neighbor on longboat key paid 300k for a late model 42 yellowfin that had sunk at the dock. Everyone familiar with the situation considered it a great deal. We did a fairly long range snapper/grouper trip on it operated flawlessly.
