Hey guys,
So I have been researching manifolds and risers for my boat 09 Baja 26 outlaw with 496 mag ho with bravo 1 x drive that appears to be in need of manifolds and risers. Are they the same as a 502? There is a guy that has a set of EMI high performance manifolds and risers for a BBC. He says they can off a 502 and said they are the same thing. I looked on EMI’s website and they list the 496 sets differently than the BBC. If anybody has any insight on whether they are the same that would be great. Also I have silent choice corsa quick and quiet exhaust. What is the difference in the risers for the silent choice. Could I make the std risers work or would I have to lose the silent choice?
thank you all
Seth

The 496 uses a different setup. It needs the provisions for the temperature sensors, which older models like the 502 doesn't have. The 496 manifolds are also slightly wider than the older engines used. Exhaust options for the 496 are limited unfortunately.
Your factory risers on the 496 are stainless, so likely yours are fine. Most just replace the manifolds with OEM Mercury.
