Default Spares Kit for Merc 496HO suggestions?

I have a pair of new to me 496HOs. What spares would you carry?

I have two IACs and one Throttle Positioning sensor.

What else would you throw in the boat?

Thanks!

If you don't have Rinda Techmate Scanner, its unlikely you will be able to diagnose whats wrong

Spare fuel filter and spare seawater pump kit

Def a Rinda scanner.

Cam Sensor. (recognize, there are several types that it COULD be, depending on generation; and they ARE NOT interchangeable)
Crank Sensor
IAC
Impellers
A 6" length of 1.25" diameter pipe (to bypass one of the water drain actuators should that ever go bad on you)
Extra Boat Bilge drain plugs
Extra blue water drain plugs
Hose clamps of all sizes

Great suggestions so far.

The seawater pressure sensors fail on occasion. On earlier 496 models the water pressure and the oil pressure were the same part number, so you might luck out there.

Make sure to get the right adapter plug for the Rinda. The 555 pcm uses a different diagnostic port plug than the earlier MEFI (mainly a concern if buying used).

PCM 555 adapter - p/n 94006

Thanks ALL - appreciate the suggestions. I have Rhinda scanner and also have Vesselview Mobile dongles and the phone app.

This weekend I had one motor go into limp home due to a bad Coolant Flow Sensor according to above tools. Will swap out today and if that is not the issue then will look at raw water baskets and the pump itself. It was NOT running hotter than usual FWIW.

Again, thanks!
