Seems the multi-speed auto trans in the perf diesel trucks are all having big issues. Often no parts available to repair.

The Ram auto trans is having issues in as little as 7500 miles.

My 2020 Ford F-150 locked up in 7th gear just as I pulled into my garage. I called the local garage near me and he re-set all the codes with his scanner, and it started working properly again.
I called Ford, and they said to bring it in cause they had a bunch of software updates for it. I took it in, got it updated, and it has been great since. I do keep my local garage number on speed dial, just in case. Once stuff like this happens, I find it very hard to gain trust back in a vehicle, but I,m slowly gaining it, since it has worked flawlessly for the past 5 months.

Played golf with a guy in Carlsbad earlier this year and he has been in the transmission business over 25 years, he said everything built with the 10 speed is junk the 6 spd GM made prior is bulletproof. His shop was in the midwest and is getting calls from everyone that is blown away with the dealer prices/slow schedule when their vehicle is out of warranty.
