Default How Fast Is American Custom Marine In 1550 Mode? Catch The Upcoming Video

How fast is the American Custom Marine Fountain raceboat with each of its engines producing 1,550 hp? Watch next Monday’s video on the American Custom Marine YouTube channel and find out.
In the meantime, take a guess, https://www.speedonthewater.com/how-...o-to-find-out/

My guess in the 1550 mode would be 138 mph with +/- 4 mph variation depending water conditions. That is my guess. It’ll be interesting to find out, I would like to learn what size props and how many RPMs to achieve the top speed.

The later 42 pleasure boats with a cabin and 1075's ran mid to high 130's, and a 42 poker run would get over 140 with 1075's. I would think at least 160 in 1550 mode.......

152 is my guess.. no one know what the water conditions were so could be much slower than capable.

What do we win?

Lets see Ben Robinson ran 143 with a pleasure boat and 1550's in 3/4 of a mile.

I am going with 153-160.

Kinda depends on who is driving the boat.....I have been in a 42 Canopy with 1200's and it went 152....but the guy driving knew what he was doing.

My guess is based on racecourse conditions not flat water Lake or River conditions.

This is an interesting thread.
