I was reading one of my boating mags where they tested a 28' Chapparal with a 380 hp engine. Naturally I assumed it to be the 8.2 liter engine, but my eyebrows raised a bit at the 5650 w.o.t. rpms...read further, hell...it's a mouse motor! Marinized 6.0 General Motors all-aluminum block. And...they make a 431 hp version of it that churns to 5800 rpm. All while weighing about 300 pounds less than the big block! Nearly 72 ponies per liter...not bad!
