Default 38 AVS repower Mercury Racing 520's

Ripped the band aid off last year with my "custom rebuilt 502's" and bought a new set of Mercury Racing 520's.

Got a chance for a quick sea trial and all I can say is .....WOW!

More to follow....this has been a long 4 year ordeal for me, learned a lot about Marine Mechanics, or people who pose as one!

New Transom, New Stringers, Freshly repainted Engine room/bilge, swim platform redone, all new Mercury Samrtcraft, Livorsi Throttles and Shifters.

Bruce Bulluck Marine really helped me out with some expert guidance. Special thanks to Boat Biz and Gulf Coast Fiberglass and Plentium Mercury.

I had one of the first AVS's of theirs in 1999. That hull design was far ahead of its time. Phenomenal boat. Can't say the same about the first 500 efis that were put together with miscellaneous parts, or as you commented, The stringers and deck. Lol. After we got those things worked out, that boat was amazing! It's never came on the market since then and is still trading quietly when the current owner is ready to move on.

Congratulations!

A tad over 70K......not cheap but in the end, for me, worth every penny.
