Currently own a 2020 GMC 2500 AT4 4x4 loaded including a sun roof. Was purchased new. It has less than 50K with a 100k extended warranty. Looking to possibly upgrade to a newer 3/4 ton 4x4 Crew Cab short box. I have not towed like I thought I would. Retired and moved to LOTO where we used to tow to from southern WI. Still want to be covered to tow our new 35 Statement with tripple 300Rs. Yes I did lose a bet to the wife and have sell our go fast Lol.
Grandkids and getting older favored in some. A Used truck will be an option also. My whole working life has been in the automotive field. Current vehicle no problems at all. Just the needed updates.
Ram/Dodge have NEVER been a fan of for so many reasons. Best interior I have seen in a loaded 2500. Currently down on power in the 2500.
GMC/Chevrolet no real issues at all. Till someone said the seats in the GM and power suck. He opted a ford over the other choices.
Ford no issues as they were my company vehichle for 26 years. Through all my research seems like the Ford F250 is rated the best option. Hp and torque leader. Then possibly reliability.
Comfort and ride are also a major priority. Sixty plus years old and use it 98 percent as a dailey driver. I probally could get a half ton with gas and get bye. Dislike being underpowered. Boat and trailer under 15k I'm sure. Sorry for the long post. I know for a fact all brands have their issues. So no bashing of brands.

I've got 70k miles on a 2024 Duramax 3500, pulls a trailer almost daily, plows snow in winter, and have had zero issues out of it. Will be ordering a new one in a few months. I'm not a dodge fan, and like this truck way better than the 2022 F350 diesel I had before it. Plenty of power, nice interior, and rides great (for a one ton truck)

I have a 2024 GMC 1 ton SRW Duramax. I like the truck but coming from a 3/4 ton Ram w/ Cummins that I put 310K miles on. I like things about both trucks. The Ram was a manual which was cool and had an amazing exhaust brake while towing. The Duramax sounds better IMHO, grinds under acceleration which I really like. Both trucks are awesome to be honest. I'm not a Ford hater at all. I have a Ford e450 chassis with a gale banks Power Pack that is fun to drive as well. The truck products produced today are all pretty top notch.

I have a 2023 ford 250 Limited.
1200 ft/lbs, ridiculously luxurious, massage seats, great tow capacity both 5th wheel and on the hitch.
Im pretty brand agnostic, but it’s a wonderful truck and is my DD.

And to add to what Twodocs said, they really didn't change a whole lot from 2019 and prior (whatever year that started) and now. I have a 2019 and I still prefer the Allison built 6 speed vs the GM built 10 speed... except the price has almost doubled since I bought mine new in 2019
