PS2 or Game Cube?

I am replacing my PS one with either a PS 2 or and XBox. Which one is better. PS Two seems to have more of the games I like (driving and simulation games). XBox seems to have more of the role playing games.

PS2 is good l like the control better than xbox
BUT (even though i hate microsoft and bill gates is trying to steal my brain) XBOX does have pretty sick games. I am Halo junkie. Me anda few buddie had 2 big screens hooke dup with 2 x boxes and 6 players in afree for all. Then we connected it to the net and were playing 16 man free for all versus network players. It was pretty damn cool.
