That is awesome they are wanting to add Kilo runs and Top Speed contest at a race site on race weekend. More for spectators to see and racers to run.
That being said, Lake Pontchartrain is not exactly a calm body of water for top speed runs. It is an extreme rarity for it to be smooth enough to run wide open.
I wish them luck, cause this is my home waters that we run on all the time and nice to see Offshore racing return here after many years.
