Closing Party and auction was another epic event. I’ve met a number of people as we shared High Performance stories, Notably was Mike and Shawn who were working for the event organizers, fantastic conversation and down to earth professionals.
I was introduced to a polite young man, would estimate his age at 15 or so. I was shocked to see He was very knowledgeable about engines, hulls and the industry as a whole with an enthusiastic demeanor about the sport. It’s refreshing to see the next generation take hold of this sport as we pass the torch, he is a Diamond in the rough! He reminder me of myself at his age growing up with the sport, following the industry and offshore races of the Hennessy Cup, Benihana, Trump Castle Offshore Grand Prix, Key West right on down the line with eventually becoming a full fledged racer. Later on he showed me a picture of his dad’s boat, a Well Known 38 Top Gun with 6s and flames on the side. I smiled and said thats Tanks boat, someone I’ve never met. Shortly thereafter I was introduced to Tank and his lovely wife, with great continuing conversation!
Being originally from the Northeast, most of my HP contacts are few. This event brings people together and makes life better! Super stoked!

it was good finally meeting you!!! And what a nice take on our son. He definitely has the bug!! Trying to instill in him the hard work it takes to get there, it’s not always gonna come as easy as it does right now.

Boats put away in storage in havasu. We just walked in the front door.
it was absolutely a fantastic event!! For any ok reading this, put it on your list. The vibe is way chill, great people, laid back, no hurry up and wait or stressful schedule, just kinda go with the flow, see friends, run boats and have fun. It’s truly a great event.
we’ll be back out in 10 days for desert Storm.
