As the title states looking for feedback from the group and mostly from people with actual experience on CC prop and drive setup.
Current configuration: 2025 Deep Impact 399 Quad 400R V10
Currently spinning all 4 in, we picked up 2MPH with this change from spinning out.
Running B1 FS props, we saw our best speed with 29 pitch but RPM only peaked at 6250. Slipping around 19% with this configuration.
I've noticed Nor-Tech and Mystic run the inside two engines spinning in and the outside engines spinning out, does anyone have experience with this configuration and can explain benefit they saw from it?
I would also like to test a set of Ventera props in a 27" and see how those run. We tested a set of Max 5 and saw a lower peak speed but slip did come down as well.
I'm looking for best all around setup, in short I don't want to give up anything, I want it all, the unicorn if you will. I want it to accelerate well, come out of the hole solid, and pull a good top end number.
The current setup is working good, and the boat overall is doing everything well, but I can feel there is more on the table!
