And a five-minute demo ride was all the convincing it took, https://www.speedonthewater.com/myst...ects-the-dots/

We had a couple Cigarettes then tried the cruiser thing with a 50' Sport Coupe (we really hated this, we are day boaters) and then Mystic built us a 38 Center counsel. Before we built the cc I was interested in the outboard cat boats but my wife was not interested so we did the cc. The boat was amazing with quad 300r's. After 2 years with that we were going to go back to Mystic and have John build us a 42, it was then when my wife said will John take us for a ride on a cat. John was great and got us out. We both fell in love with the boat and felt this was the way to go. This is our 7th boat over 28 years and I have to say it's the one we are most excited about. Mystic blew us away on this build and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. Doug Harrell from DHD designs hit it out the park on the paint. The pictures do this boat no justice in my opinion.

not sure about you fellas but all these tator chip boats( big outboards on back lightweight low profile cats) seem to look like clones of each other, there's very little difference when your 100 feet away or is it just the old school me?

The cats are a blast to drive is the short answer. The CC while plush and comfortable is still windy compared to a modern cat. If you are just day boating the cats cover more water more economically and ride very comfortably in up to 3/4' seas. We have both a CC and a OB Cat, and while we enjoy both, if push came to shove and we were selling one the CC is the one that will be sold.
