Default 450R fault code 442-4 "Fuel Pressure High"

Finally got in the water for the first time yesterday. Boat ran fine but after about 1/2 hour (mixed throttle cruising and no-wake) center engine started throwing "Fuel Pressure High" Fault Code 442-4

Code would clear itself after a minute or so and then come back a minute or two later. Did this for the first hour and a half. Then docked for 3 hours. On the return trip to the marina (idle speed only) 30 minute trip, did NOT throw the code at all.

No noticeable performance issues at all.

Asking here because someone on here has always been 'right' on previous issues long before my dealer has figured them out.

Wondering if it was just 'winter gas'?

Anyone had a similar issue?

If the dealer throws the engine on a hose and runs at idle I doubt it will throw the code. Not sure what to do next. Run it next weekend and see if it happens again?

swap the sensor with one on one of the other motors? See if the problem follows the sensor or stays with the motor?

I found this:

https://uspmarine.com/products/fuel-...xHyD64ukNUUBL7

Description

This is a OE fuel pressure sensor that fits both the 450 Racing and 500 Racing engines.
The early 450's had issues with these until they updated the part.
Given the boat ran fine, that says "sensor" to me. Add to that there were apparently issues with these with the early 450r and mine are 2020/2021s... and the sensor is cheap. I wonder if I'd be better to just put a new sensor in and see if that does the trick?

I'll update the thread with the results next week.

Well so far it appears to just have been "winter gas". Dealer cleared the codes and ran the engine on the hose. Didn't throw any codes and I had it out Saturday all afternoon and no codes.

So for anyone in the future with this issue... If the engine is running fine and the code keeps coming and going, it may just be fuel.
