Default Engine cooling upgrade help

Ok so I'm taking my slightly modded roughly 450hp 89 454 with orinigal 16" tube cooler. (Pictured below) and adding 100-150 hp to it during a rebuild. Motor is being rebuilt because it wasn't put together right lol. So not sure if this cooler was good enough in the first place.

I knew that my cooling system was going to need some upgrade and i was trying to keep my cooler in the factory location of a bracket on the port side of the oil pan. I was trying to utilize this 3" longer cooler from hardin in the same location without having to change everything around.

I am planning on using a thermostatic oil block adapter. But after talking with hardin they are telling me that no 2" cooler in existence will keep up with 550+hp cool so I need something like this.

They aren't upselling me and im not calling them wrong. Basically im not against a 3" cooler but if i use a 3" cooler every single line and location of everything needs to be changed or altered. I dont have an oil temp gauge. I do have a crossover cooling setup. But im just trying to hear out what others have done in my similar situation. I heard of hp500s or sc600s having a 2" coolers. I'm not opposed to a bell housing cooler but then still i have to change everything line and how it's ran and I have no idea where to start if that's the case. Im also trying to add a basic sea pump filter. So I'm looking for someone insight or ideas or if a longer 2" cooler really won't work.
