The new transom plates have the rubber stops which seem to be the same thickness as the fiber washer

My flywheel covers have the old style bushings

Can I use the old style bushing with the old double wound lock washer placed inside the rubber on the new transom plate and still have engine line up right

Or do I have to buy the new style bushings for my flywheel housing
