Default Boat explosion at Table Rock Lake, State Park Marina

Postings on social media indicate a boat explosion at Table Rock Lake, injuries to some on board. Blowers were being run, highly experienced captain...initial reports indicate a fuel filler hose had a leak/split in it...damn.

Yeah, which is great if you can actually SEE the hose.

We had this issue on our Wellcraft Portofino. Still to this day I have No idea why it never blew the fuk up.
Pumped several gallons in bilge each time fill up.

Lots of surface area contact to vaporize adds extra problems for sure. I suspect with enough raw fuel, the blowers pumping air in and mixing, makes a more favorable mixture to ignite.
