Hi all I have a 89’ 32 Fastlane with twin bbc 454 carb gen 6’s fitted with bravo 1 counter rotating drives.
Ive ordered a replacement lower unit for the port drive as the propshaft carrier seals are leaking and with heating up the drive with the oxy and using bearing pullers and slide hammers i couldn’t remove the carrier I’m guessing being original it’s stuck with corrosion, it’s a LH rotation drive. Will the new lower unit affect the rotation of the drive once fitted and be RH rotation or will there be no affect and is the rotation determined by the upper unit

Bravos can be run on either side, there is no right or left. It is all determined on shift cable placement at the helm one lever will push the cable and one pulls the cable.
