My Crank pulley (harmonic balancer) seems to eating up belts. Are these pulleys Volvo Penta specific or can I use the OEM GM version linked below?

You might have to take it off to see it but there should be a part number on it somewhere. Yours is not the same as the one in your link. That one is all one piece with the damper. I cant tell for sure but I think yours bolts on to the damper.

Harmonic Balancer eating up serpentine belts is the next problem I'm trying to solve. The balancer/pulley is toast for 2 reasons. First the pulley itself it really badly pitted, corroded. I have to assume the sea water pump sprung an un-noticed leak and caused the corrosion there. Second, when I initially tried to remove the balancer off the crank, I used a 3 prong gear puller hooked to the balancer section from the outside. This pulled the balancer portion off its original position on the centerpiece (spindle or hub?). So my harmonic balancer is totally toast. It's a door holder now.
The VP number is 3861274. It is on international backorder. No known ETA of its availability. I called several places claiming it was in stock on their online stores. They did not actually have the part in stock and confirmed not availble and "their supplier" did not have it either.
Below we can compare balancers...
Psi 8.8 .... gmt800 8.1 .... marine 8.1

Looks like the PSI version may work if the water pump bolts line up.
I'm thinking I may have to go a separate route and attach a water pump onto a bracket and run it a belt. Not ideal since if the belt breaks, we have an overheat situation. I'd like to think of this as a last resort. Anyone have any ideas? Used would be the next best situation....Considering the condition of used in the picture above.....thats not looking like a great option ether.
Id rather stay with the same setup if anyone as source for a balancer/pulley setup that I can still bolt on the sea water pump on to.

That's not a pulley...that's a belt grinder!!!
I've never been keen ok the crank mounted pump systems. It feels like they're less reliable than the belt driven options. But that's just me.
Have spare serpentine belts or V belts and inspect/change them when worn.
There should be a serp pulley around with the correct diameter and be able to bolt to the balancer that close.
For installing, use a stud into the crank snout...and a nut to wrench it on. Don't use the threads and bolt on the crank snout.
Over $500 for the quoted PN.
Maybe a used option available?

Summit has 8.1 496 Gen VII Balancers. 34oz imbalance on the Summit Elastomer style.

Used is the next option. What's everyone else doing here for a replacement Damper?
Volvo Penta is unique that the sea water pump is bolted to the crack shaft damper. GM dampers don't have the 3 threaded bolts on the damper to bolt on the sea water pump in the marine application. I can't find this even directly from Volvo Penta. They have an international backorder with no ETA.
