As for the Freedom Boat Skater 36: The owners want anonymity. They also want to run in public events so there is an inherent conflict with that desire, but given that fact access to information is a problem. I speak with Tony Cutsuries at Skater almost every week. He respects the owners' wishes, and while I don't understand them in the least I respect them as well. So I don't push. And won't.
But back to the news value of the offending story: First, the Platinum group chose a well-known rigger for its boats. I am sure the people at the rigging shop find it newsworthy.
As do their friends and families and customers. As do readers with different tastes and sensibilities than yours.
Not every story will appeal to every reader. I am sorry this one didn't appeal to you. Just a suggestion, though? My headlines are pretty direct and simple, so I would imagine ... and forgive me if I'm wrong ... you knew this story wasn't for you.
So in the interest of using time wisely, don't open the next one.

i,m not sure they want to be private they have a big facebook and web site following maybe they don,t want to be on traditional boat sites i get it....... i guess...... its a cool well engineered bad ol hot rod that will set records if they keep it on the water as far as boat builds its not very exciting to read about maybe hotrod the powerplants so its a bit more interesting to follow these are all stock power outboards maybe do one with the diesel outboards they have come a long ways and are over 300hp

I have no issue with what BoostBros is saying. I don't have to agree to understand and even learn from his point, and I sure don't expect to please everyone. Ever.
