Default Pretzel Time - manifold hose leaking

My bilge pump was running more than expected this weekend when motors running ... looked around and there is a pencil diameter hole in the metal barb connecting water hose to bottom of stock merc manifold. This one should be fun ;-)

Should I pre-penetrating oil it or heat it before I try to unscrew that bad boy?

I like Kroil penetrant oil; let it sit a day or 2. Works great for me even on old my old farm equipment

K roil is great stuff. A little heat is always your friend on stuck fittings.

864182 - Connector does not seem to be available anywhere. Was trying to order it before I crawl into the engine room this weekend.

It has been superseded and we show 7 pieces. Checking now to see if they are really on the shelf.
