Default 1997 Thru 2002 Formula 330 ss

We have had many boats over the years, we are looking for our last boat and have settled on the older Formula 330. I want the cruiser capability but am also looking for some speed. With the old 7.4's I am thinking about the procharger. Nothing crazy about 5 lbs.
I was wondering what yr of 7.4 would be the best without having to do much if anything to the bottom end. Keeping the boat at or below the 4500 should keep the bottom end together, and I like the 7.4 over the 496.
I know there are threads here about the 7.4 but couldn't find anything that addressed my question. Any thoughts here would be appreciated.

My 1997 had 330 MPIs. Cast bottom ends. You’d want magnums to put boost on. I haven’t seen a 330 with them, but they might be out there
