She is one of the many reasons this event is so cool. Class act!

Carrie and other participants like her are what make the Shootout the Shootout. Don't get me wrong, watching Tony drive the American Ethanol and the other big dogs running down the course gives me goosebumps. Just would like to go that fast once on the water. Bob Morgan once told me the Bad Moon Risin, 4 engine beast was "just an old ride around boat". The heart and soul of the Shootout is the guys and gals who drag their daily driver around and tear 'em up in the name of charity. Would love to bring out my old Fountain, but not sure my insurance company would like that. If you have not experienced the LOTO Shootout, you have missed a great boating event right here on the Midwest Coast.

I love watching this boat run and listening to it. I’ll always love Baja’s, it’s where my craving to go fast in a boat all began.
