It was said it had engines out of a Chinook helicopter

The acceleration was impressive. Imagine what it would have done on a 1 mile course.

Heard them say it had a spoiler or flap somewhere near the front to make it settle-down in the shut-down area. Not sure if that was added recently or was always there but sounds like a good idea.

From what I read, everything in the boat that could be made lighter was remade. I think they lightened the boat by maybe 500 lbs.

Iirc the owner stated the engines were one generation behind the present Chinook
the new engines make 500 more shp
And the boat has the 1500 shp..or something to that effect

they must have changed up a big part of the power package , and had not worked out a few issues
Teague mentioned each engine had 2 blowers..
but later someone on the team I think said 2 pro chargers on each engine
