Wow - I might have missed it but I think the last time there was actually an offshore race in the city was in the 80's

The lake is supposed to be nice this weekend .. which is unsual for this time of year

There was one later than that. I remember the crane was at navy pier by the shrimp shack. The ran in-between pier and break wall. Sure I have old pics somewhere.

YES, USoffshore raced out of Navy Pier in the mid 90's as well.
