It was typical Lake Michigan that day, Winds out of the NE, really rough, Course was across the lake to Michigan City which is where Betty Cook called it quits in if i remember correctly. After doing some digging I see she wound up with a cracked rib,

There was one later than that. I remember the crane was at navy pier by the shrimp shack. The ran in-between pier and break wall. Sure I have old pics somewhere.

YES, USoffshore raced out of Navy Pier in the mid 90's as well.
