Great pics and write up Matt. It always amazes me that they get so many boats and people to attend but the coverage is always on the downlow (purposeful I take it). As many times as we've run over to Catalina over the years, we've yet to attend the fun run due to scheduling conflicts that time of year. Maybe 2026 will be our year to join in the fun!

Great to see Stu and Jackie coming out and Cigarette sponsoring. Pretty cool.

I was there just three weekends ago after a (gulp) seven- or eight-year absence. I will not let that happen again. I don't live on the West Coast now, but I get there often enough to head to Avalon with my brother—he has a 44 Tiara—and his friends. My blood pressure goes down in Avalon Harbor. I am sure yours does too.

At least until the shoreboat drops you in town.

hahaha. Yeah, I totally get the tranquility of the Channel Islands and then the hustle and bustle once you're on the boardwalk of Avalon. The Islands out in front of us (Anacapa, Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa & San Miguel) are like being on a different planet, while Catalina always reminds me of being in Europe along the riviera. I'm always amazed that these huge clumps of land are out there in the middle of the ocean, not really that far away, breathtakingly beautiful and really, only a small portion of even Ca. residents have experienced any of them. They should be on everyone's bucket list.

I spent a Friday and Saturday pretty much diving into Avalon Harbor from my brother's boat. The water was 70 degrees. It was perfect.

Saltwater is the cure to pretty much everything.
