What are good materials for seats and cockpit these days?

The vinyl in my boat is kinda ugly...

I just had some pieces made from a Silicone type vinyl. Very nice, soft, and supposedly very durable. Time will tell.

Seems like alcantara is the latest craze of what everyone is doing. But, I still prefer cool touch vinyl both in looks and how it feels to sit on it. But it’s all personal preference.

That stuff looks very nice.

I would need to deal with the vegan leather stigma, though…

Sure, I can take some, but keep in mind, this is on my 1974 20' Shamrock Open, no go-fast bolsters and fancy patterns here!
