Hello,
I have a 288 Sunsation. The back of my boat is about a 1/2 inch, maybe a little less, hanging over the rear bunks. Usually when I take boat home from Wisconsin the boat will move forward. I did try hitting the brakes with no luck. Is it ok the leave boat like this for the winter?
Thank you

if it's really a half inch or less, I don't think I'd stress over that, considering the transom as a whole should be around 1-1/2 inches thick, from outside to inside. I don't think you're going to stress or compromise anything with a half inch hanging over the bunks.

Ive been told thats one way to get a hook in the bottom. I move mine up by hitting the brakes, obviusly if the bow stop is preventing it going forward thats not going to work.
Also tows better with more tongue weight.
Edit: I missed the 1/2" part.. .. you`re probably fine.

Pull the winch strap EXTREMELY tight. Loosen the rear straps.
Do a couple panic stops with the truck. It will move up.
I wouldn't leave it hanging off, especially if the trailer isn't setup where the bunks are directly below the stringers.

Hello,
Thank you for your replies. There is a launch by my dealer, I will stop there before I drop it off for the winter. I think there is something on the bottom that is keeping boat from moving forward. Sadly, I noticed when driving on my jet dock I wasn’t going as far forward as I have in the past.
