Just bought a new toy for the coming season...yeah! unfortunately the boat does not perform to my expectations with the carburated 454 Mag that is installed. The boat does about 60 with an 21 Mirage right now, which is all you can expect with this engine...I would like to go the supercharger route and am wondering which system to shop for. I like the procharger with stage 2 boost setting which should bring me in the desired 550 hp range for an honest 70 miles GPS.
I would appreciate any experiences regarding performance, reliability, installation hassles, jettings and prop suggestions. And..if anyone has a suitable system for sale, let me know. As well I am looking for an switchable exhaust system that fits the Baja 272.
Thanks for your opinions!

Andy,
I too have a 272 Boss. I currently run a Procharged(5-6lbs of boost) 502 mg efi and it puts me in the 80-82mph range. As far as exhaust goes, I installed a set of Stainless Marine and I have been happy with that decision.
