It sounds like IHRA tried dictating how SSR would run their program in a way that stripped SSR of a level of control they were comfortable with, given their imposed liability. Not picking sides; just my read on the two statements.

This IHRA debacle isn't just happening in Offshore racing Tank, it's the same **** going on in the boat drag racing they're trying to take over as well. My guess is that IHRA will be just another "here today, gone tomorrow" story we've seen happen so many times over the decades with boat racing.

Im curious about the insurance question. Why won't IHRA give the info on requirement and insurance company or broker? Something doesn't sound right to me. I just hope they figure this all out before the first race, which is next month. Not too much time left.
