Boyne is a waste of time trying to register. That run is all about who has the most $$ . 60 'sponsor' spots
Someone should put a run in that area that`s open to regular folks.

I missed it again and its all my fault LOL. By just a minute or two. I was too cheap to sponsor and now I feel the regret.

Lots of my friends made it in the normal registration.

There are other runs in the area, as well as many that come up for the week to Boyne Thunder that aren't in the poker run itself. The Thursday lunch run is open to all, many take a day and go to mackinaw Island, Sleepy Bear Dunes, Traverse City, Beaver Island . The poker run is a charity event used to raise money for Children battling cancer, so it is not a waste of time!

Your frustration is understandable. Completely.

But as Pete said below, there are alternatives. From where I sit, albeit as a reporter who goes along for the ride, Friday is my favorite Boyne day because there's nothing scheduled. And there are plenty of places to go with a group of friends. The Friday night street party in downtown Boyne is amazing, really busy but still fun and manageable.

Yeah , I`m just jealous of the people that get in and have the $2500 sponsor money to spend.
3 years in a row it was sold out before I had a chance to even try.
I`ll have to look for dockage, I`m sure not much left that weekend.
Ive watched all the vids on Youtube and it loks amazing. I would love to check that area out
