Sunday weather was perfect for post maintenance test
Except while engines were warming up, I notice water was really coming in bilge, not scary fast, but enough too.
I found water burbling below the blank off plate that covers up the hole if yiu have underwater exhaust
got her back home and squeezed camera down and around..yep that dirty lake water left great witness marks
I still need to check tq on all the transom bracket bolts
And there is about 3 inches of room, so I should be able to pull plate and reseal..
I also installed rubber plug in wet side of bracket
plan to re float make sure that was leak
U joint bellows look great, and clamps were tight
Really strange...
My assumption is that plate has never been removed since boat was built in late 1987

Update
4 of six nuts the washers would spin..so all 12 got retorqued

they sat for 3 hrs and nd tq held
