Greetings all, new guy here, first post. . . Sorry, I am not allowed to post the links or pics until ten posts, 9 to go. . .
On the block in Palm Beach April 16 -18 2026, just visit the Barret- Jackson Auction web site, she looks amazing.
Larry Smith designed what many enthusiasts consider his crowning achievement, the 1985 Tom Gentry Turbo Eagle 46' Scarab. It was commissioned by visionary racer and engineer Tom Gentry, known as “The Fastest Man in Offshore,” as part of his relentless campaign to push the boundaries of speed, technology and spectacle far beyond their respective limits. Originally designed and built to compete in the demanding Miami to New York Endurance Race, its long and sleek, narrow-beam hull was optimized for speed, stability and wave-cutting performance in rough open water. Lightweight composite construction, typical of the late 1980s offshore racing era, masterfully balanced strength with agility. Its sound design was confirmed when this boat won the 1988 APBA Superboat Class World Championship for the Tom Gentry team, driven by actor and racer Don Johnson, with Bill Sirois on the throttles and Gus Anastasi as the navigator.
All 3600 HP and 46' will be auctioned off this weekend, should be bad ass to watch this monster cross the block getting the notoriety it deserves !

I was there today also…. before-during-after auction. I was an observer with the Gentry ….. I’ll leave it at that.
