You know, now that SCOPE is dead, big cat is the ONLY offshore type performance boating event in California now a days! That’s just crazy to me when you have San Diego, Newport Beach Long Beach, Channel Islands santa barbara and San Fran. Crazy.

California's performance boating scene has continually been sliding backwards ever since the mid to late 2000s Tank, I know you've seen it happening too. The Big Cat Run would get close to 150 boats in the mid 2000s, now it gets about half that number. SCOPE was awesome in the 2000s too! We've lost at least half the waterfront restaurant/bars on the Delta in the past 20 years and not a single new one has been built to replace the ones that we've lost. I don't know if it's because this state is full of a bunch of libtards that don't like boating, or what the hell it is. We won't even be here for the big Cat Run this year; we'll be up on Lake Washington for the Seattle Seafair weekend with the H1 races and Blue Angels show - it's a spectacular weekend on the water!
