Give Jack a call at Hydra powerboats. Toms River 732 506 7701

he might be able to help you out. as far as performance increase, Ive heard dramatic increases as much as 15 mph gain, to as little as 3 mph. depends on your hull

I agree. thats on the xtreme side of the spectrum. but it did happen. Are you familiar with the Avanti 33. That boat apparently has a bad ass hook in the hull. A friend picked up that much speed after shaving the hull. And yes, I'de say 2 to 4 mph is more likely. Especially on a Hustler, if thats what your running.

Is hull blueprinting a plus more for older hulls ? If so what MPH increase should be expected if done on a 28 ft. Cig. ?

We do every hull (as a matter of fact, we just flipped the red boat over this past week) and the boats simply handle better. The speed increase is minimal, at least on our boats.

Make sure it is done correctly or you are wasting time and money.

i had mine done on my 28 scarab when i was getting some repair on bottom. they straighten the bottom and sharpen all the edges, it slowed down. even went up in power at same time . the guy might have not know what he was doing?.i know that the motor was pulling the stringer on left hand side making a hook on the botton on that side. because it pulled the stringer and was cracking the botton. i guess it wasent made for that much power?
