Default Another fine post from the newsgroup rec.boats.

I have posted some links to threads on the newsgroup rec.boats before. Below you will find another thread that was just started in reference the the speed limits on NJ waters. There is actually reference or link to Sharkey's site in the post. Anyway, read the original post and the reply. Feel free to post a reply (I'm kind of hoping about 200 of us will) and voice our side.

I don't even know why I read that newsgroup anyway. I sometimes think I read it for simple amusement.

I might add that the first post you are reading is actually the reply to the original. The second is the original post.

Here it is....

If the go fast guys got together and decided that it was no longer
cool to make a lot of noise on the water, drove their boats
responsibly and stopped running over canoes, inflatables and other
small craft, there would be no issue, and the legislation would never
get off the ground. It is irresponsible operation that has lead to
increased policing and restrictive laws everywhere, not tree huggers.

The choice is yours.

If I showed you guys what I'd like to send them, it would require posting in the uncensored section...

Well then post it there. There is no such thing as uncensored in a newsgroup. And it's not moderated.

Come on people!!! 110 views on this thread and no one has posted a reply yet.

Buck...it's not clear to me how to get to rec.boats. Can you post the link and thread so we can contribute? I see the link to Sharkey's site...am I missing something?

Did you ever think the guy could be right. Just look at what they are doing to the jet skis.Remember High proformance boats are only something like 5% of the marine Market

Indy,

It's a newgroup. That's why I can't post a link. You access it through your email or Outlook Express....that's what I use. This is the reason I have been doing cut and paste instead of linking to the thread. You will have to go into "newsgroups" in your email. Subscribe to the group "rec.boats". Doesn't cost anything, just have to earmark it to download that group to your puter.

The following is another reply that was added later today to the thread. Remember, these are cut and paste, not me typing.

Here it is......

Dickheads in penis boats.

Just PWCer types with more HP, bigger gold chains and less brains.

The enemy is themselves.

The posted link confirms that.

The speed limit is a GOOD idea.
