I thought this would be a funny topic to discuss. As you all know the Miami Boat Show commences on Feb. 13 - one day before that BIG day that all of our girlfriends and/or wives look forward to every year.

Why the Boat Show conventioneers choose this particular date is a mystery to me. There is no doubt that attendance is affected to some degree by this inappropriate choice of dates.

The reason I started this post is to find out how many of you have had (or will have) a heated discussion about going to the boat show and missing Valentine's Day. I am coming with five of my friends of which three have had nothing but drag down blow out fights with their significant others regarding the fact that they plan to miss this special day this year. I have even spent a few hours trying to formulate stories and scenarios that they could use as an excuse to get away.

My own personal choice was simple. "I'm going to the boat show with the guys!" Her answer - "I'm going to Las Vegas with the girls!" My answer - "yippee, hooray, cheers, knock yourself out!" My business partners dialogue with his girlfriend - "I'm going to the boat show with the guys!" Her reply - "No you're not. There's no way in hell you're missing Valentine's Day. I'm either going with you or I'll find another Valentine to keep me company on Friday night." His answer - he's still trying to formulate some reply!

Anyway, just curious if a few of you experienced this same dilemma?

I do not have a problem as I'm going to be working at the show.I also think the 003 . .carat D COLOR ROUND DIAMOND may have helped.

Come to think of it, I was wondering why so many people e-mailed back and added one more to come to the party that night.
