I didn't see anything mentioned about the fact that everyone , at the moment of conception , is given a designated number of years , months , days , minutes , and seconds on this earth.
SOOOOOOOOO, time spent on the water is "not on earth" and therefore is not deducted from your lifetime

I can't imagine life without a boat.But I can certainly imagine a life without all the hassles that come with HAVING one !
