Haven't fired mine yet, but...
Gen VI block, crank, rods. I think anyone will agree, these stock GM components are good for some serious ponies.
World Products rectangular port Merlin Marine heads, inconel exhaust and Manley severe duty intakes.
JE forged 17cc domed pistons with 119 cc chambers making 10.01:1 c.r.
Competition Cams hydraulic roller, 308HR
.575 intake/exhaust lift
.006 tappet lift 308 314
duration @ .050 254 260
lobe sep. 112
She's gonna be nasty, nasty, nasty
as soon as we fire her, I'll post some pics and maybe a sound byte...

dyno,
My friend had a bare block, crank and rods available, so I picked it up. We sourced out the machine work, and he's doing the assembly.
mcollinstn,
The springs that came on those heads were rated for .600 max lift, so we chose the cam accordingly. I have so much $$ tied up in this thing, I just didn't want to fork out anymore.
Hopefully this thing will stay together, but the day it dies, I plan to re-use what I can and add a blower with low compression pistons. If I could get 600hp on 87 octane, I'd be a happy camper...
21 Classic Donzi, with Arneson #6 on an extension box...

Don
For your boat...a pair of 509's would work great. I have lots of info from building my combo..give me a call and I'll fill you in.
ASD
My setup is similar to yours..I got about 565 hp @ 5200and 620# tq @ 3400 on the dyno.
little bigger cam, dual plane intake, Holley 950, Merlin VR heads, 9.8/1 JE's
