Question What price does gas have to reach before....?

At what price does gas have to reach before you start to consider cutting back on other things. Taking the boat out, driving the truck to do meaningless errands, etc?

I was thinking about this just yesterday. It won't have to get very high before I start cutting back. But it won't be on the things you mentioned. I will cut back on unneccasary things such as eating, electricity, and maybe cheap beer. No cutting back on boating here.

I drive 70 miles a day to and from work. The thought of getting rid of my truck for a more economical vechile has crossed my mine. I want something that I will enjoy driving though. Thought about maybe trading the truck in on a Mustang Gt. I really like having the room to throw stuff in the back though. We see what happens with the gs prices. If they stay like this for awhile, I think people will start factoring in the price of gas into their decisions.

Buy a 6 speed Vette they get really good MPG and you get to drive something that has some power.
