On Sunday, a couple of friends and I were out in a 31 AO, heading back up to FT Myers, As we were passing a 28 skater with twin O/b's. didnt see anyone in the boat thought maybe just gettin some afternoon exercise. As we passed the stern,
two people in water, so we turned to see if they were alright,
they were not , female passenger was ejected from boat after stuffing, she was wearing life jacket, as was driver. both had helmets on driver's visor came off cutting his nose and giving him a shiner. as the passenger struggled to get in the boat, it was taking on water and fast. once back in the boat we secured a bow line and started towing to the ramp and called 911 to meet us there. after 15 minutes we arrived , paramedics were there to meet us. they remove passenger with back board and neck brace, she was in some extreme pain. driver was just shaken up.
had we not passed when we diid, that boat would have been gonein less than 5 minutes from our arrival. if anyone in the area knows of her condition, could you please post.
The driver could not thank us enough , as i see it , i am glad we were there at the right time.
