Popeyes race boat ,guess where& when?
This was my frist boat race i have been to.Guess what year and which race?
The overall winner had a average speed of 104.something.

It was a verry rough race . We where in a 28 Scarab and the waves where breaking over the nose of the boat at anchor.There was only 3 other boats watching. Hint , On the video ,Dirty Laundry all most blew it over,sat it stright up on its tail,broke one of its drives and still finished.
Circus Circus was there giving out hats and t,s.

that pic was after it was converted to I/O's it was raced VERY few times as Popeyes like that. That was the year tha Chuck Norris raced the BIG popeyes 50 footer. I know it raced in Marathon but I think it had 13 on it at that race. I would say that pic was 1990. My guess would also be Poncitrain in New Orleans????

I'm guessing Lake Pontchartrain......Bobby Idoni on Throttles...... Driver was definitely not Copeland (Too big) and I believe Al was not allowed to race because of insurance liability issues by then.
