Default Hi-Lo fork lift goes in the drink

WOW!
Well, I had a call from Crazy Horse just after I landed in West Palm Beach to say he had just arrived at the marina to pick up my boat. Seems the fork lift was "broken" and they were waiting for a new drive shaft. I got to the marina shortly there after.
Seems they were going to haul a generator out of a Wellcraft "Coastal" fishing boat.
The guy went way off center to position one of the forks along the center of the boat to pull the gen BUT...........he missed the stops.
The lift went over the edge, driver bailed out, mechanic on the boat underneath bailed out.
The one fork smashed the hard top of the wellcraft & the aluminum 1/2 tower became a pretzel as the lift rolled off tho the side, 3/4 under water.
With a bit of a delay, they had the lift running & Crazy Horse, Waterfoul and my old Cigarette are on their way to Michigan.

Not funny, but it happens.

Happened here on Lake Norman about six years ago. The guy got off the lift, did not set the brake, went to take a phone call and came back to find the lift in the lake sitting on top of two small boats.

It was a week day and no one was hurt.

Shut the place down for about a week while they fished out the lift, got it running again and repaired the dock damage!

Glad you sold your boat Dave!
