Default TRS Drive help

The boat I purchased this winter has TRS drives on them and the trim cyclinders are pitted pretty good. The port side started to leak oil from the lines where they atach to the cyclinder it self. Should I buy new ones or can they be rebuilt and who should I contact.

I don't know much about TRS drives but I know who does...
Call Chris at Stern Drive Specialist... 315-676-2979, he's located in central New York, I'm sure he can give you some good advice.

You can buy BRAND NEW cylinder housings and just rebuild them yourslelf. It is a peice of cake. They cost me about 150 in parts for each one.

When you order new ones beware the older ones are internal lines, and the newer rams have external trim lines. There is also a port and starboard on the external trim line ram.

Thanks for all the help. I think I will do what audiofn said and buy new housings and rebuild.
