Default What do you think the weight of my boat is???

Hey guys, I am getting ready to purchase a Hydohoist lift for my 1979 32' Excalibur, does anyone out there know about or exactly how much this boat weighs. I checked my title thinking it would say....but nope. The boat has twin 454's (330) if they helps narrow it down. Any help or advise how to find out would be GREAT!

Thanks, Spencer

Do you have a trailer? If you do take it to a truck stop with a scale and weigh it then weigh only trailer and you will know exact amount.

Just Once has a 24 Excalibur, it weighs over 6k. You are probably over 8k with the twins and additional 6 feet. Just a guess, as everyone else said, buy the 12k and be done with it.

Well, I think I will have to go to a weigh stop and get it that way to know exactly. I have a chance to purchase a 8000lbs. lift very cheap from a friend, that is why I am needed a very close to exact weight of the boat. I was told that as long as the boat is a couple of hundred pounds or so less than what the lift can hold you will be o.k. I hope that is correct information............

Thanks!

Oh no, the lift will be in a very, very calm watered marina in N.E. Oklahoma lake.

Can this be right?????????? Just looked on NADA website www.nadaguides.com to see if it might have any information on the boat as far as weight and this is what it said...........5300 pounds net weight??? No way???? Do you think??? I see the horsepower is much lower, meaning smaller engines but still??

that 5300 is crap

I have a 10,000 pound lift for my F311 Formula (31' hull, 33' overall). I added racks for 2 jetskis on the side of the lift. It will lift the boat full of fuel and 2 jetskis, one 350 pounds, the other 450 pounds, but it sure looks like that is all it wants.

If the 8000 lift is a 2-tank unit, then you can always add a third tank and be fine. If it is already a 3-tank unit, you'd better get a money-back guarantee.
