If I recall, the first time we were in Iraq and headed towards Bagdad, the then Democrat controlled congress passed a law that the US could not assasinate the head of state of any country. I am told that is why we didn't get him when we had the chance.

If that's so then we still can't. must be fuzzy logic.

Being a former artillery officer and a republican, I only hope for a fast war with minimum casulties on both sides. There is a long road here no matter what the military outcome.

I hate the F$%^%ng French A#sh^ls though. Nice ally. They are already threatening vetoing US or Brittian occuapation. We cleaned up in the Panama canal, WWI, WWII, and Vietnam. The last time they helped us was in our revolutionary war.
